Please join us for this lively presentation on Data Science for Business Analysis.

Data is the lifeblood for intelligent companies today. Organizations are leveraging data to make smarter, faster decisions, and drive greater business outcomes. The benefits from data are obvious: competitive advantage, reduced costs, new services, new revenue streams, and enhanced customer experience, to name just a few. Companies are rushing to take advantage of data and maturing new technologies that move, mine, and consume increasingly diverse data from an ever larger array of sources. AI, machine learning, and advanced algorithms are enabling organizations to unlock tremendous value from data and drive outcomes sooner, with greater impact than anyone ever imagined possible.

Presenter: Ken Fulmer

Ken Fulmer is currently working as President and CEO of the IIBA International out of Toronto. IIBA is a global professional association for business analysis that is now expanding its expertise to new digital and leading edge practices to continue to apply analysis to both individual practitioner capability and to assist business and other organizations achieve better business outcomes.

Ken was previously engaged as CIO for Delek and MAPCO in support of their acquisition of Lion Oil, and with managing the IT services and applications functions at Delek US.

Ken was formerly the Chief Technology Officer at Sunoco and part of the I/T leadership team at Sunoco. Ken had been with Sunoco for over 30 years, in various positions within the Information Technology field.

Ken's other prior roles at Sunoco included being Director of the Corporate and Financial Systems  Ken has an undergraduate degree from LaSalle University, and has an MBA from Clarion University. He also attended post graduate work at the MIT executive program, and Kent State University. Prior to joining Sunoco Ken had spent time in the US Army – missile weapons systems, Burroughs defense systems group including assignments at SAC and NATO, and CompuServe in New York City as the regional technical manager.

IIBA is the non-profit professional association dedicated to the field of business analysis. Through a global network, IIBA connects over 29,000+ Members and more than 300 Corporate Members and 120 Chapters. As the voice of the business analysis community, IIBA supports the recognition of the profession and discipline and works to maintain the global standard for the practices and certification.

    • 8:20-8:30 Q & A , Pack-Up, More Networking
