The Mars rover Curiosity will have been on Mars ten years (ten Earth years)
In December 2012, Curiosity's two-year mission was extended indefinitely, and on 5 August 2012, NASA celebrated the arrival of the Curiosity. The rover is still operational, Curiosity has been active on Mars for since its landing (see its current status here ).
Something that I was unaware of - there is a 1909 Lincoln Penny on board.
MAHLI (Mars Hand Lens Imager) can store either the raw images or do real time lossless predictive or JPEG compression. The calibration target for MAHLI includes color references, a metric bar graphic, a 1909 VDB Lincoln penny, and a stair-step pattern for depth calibration.[117]
