Event Description

The Topic for March 25th is

Global Teams - Working Across Cultures

More and more agile efforts involve development teams and stakeholder groups dispersed throughout the world.

Distributed projects are more difficult to execute for obvious reasons, including time differences and language barriers, but cultural differences, and the lack of understanding them, create problems that no video conference, wiki, or international flight can solve.

You need to crack the culture code.

By cracking the culture code you can establish credibility, overcome communication barriers, create an environment of trust and get things done.

Come to this interactive session that has been honed by over a decade of delivery and learn how to work with international teams and execute successful projects across geographical and culture divides.

Bio: Michael Palladino is a Project and Program Management consultant and professional with broad experience across industries.  He has held a variety of roles, including program and project manager, portfolio manager, business relationship manager and operational support.  Mike has more than 20 years of information technology experience in a variety of industries, including health care, pharmaceutical, financial, insurance, music distribution and travel.  He is a frequent speaker at industry conferences and has presented in several countries for more than 15 years.   Mike holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Drexel University, and various certifications such as CSM, PMP, Six Sigma, ITIL and TOGAF.  Mike is also the President-Elect and VP of Membership at PMI-DVC.
