It is a firm Definition of Done that prevents Scope Creep the bane of many projects. Definition of Done is more than just requirements, but encompasses other areas like Performance Testing, Documentation for Support Staff and other non-programming tasks needed before deployment.

Yes, AgilePhilly has more than just a conversation on our slack channel for a virtual meeting on May 10th.  Much more.

We are looking to expand this into a larger event within Philly Tech Week.  Join us for this half day afternoon of talks in Philadelphia.

And why May 10th ?

On May 10th, 1869 the Transcontinental Railroad was completed.

It was years in the making, and it was a singular accomplishment of a visionary Railroad that brought America together from Coast to Coast. And it should not be seen as just an American event.

We feel it fitting in our own era to remember how this multi-year project not just made our nation stronger, but helped promote relationships beyond the oceans in the Industrial Age of Steam and expanding commerce.

It is a reminder that reflecting on the goals we set for ourselves is an important part of any Retrospective.

And in the spirit of Definition of Done, AgilePhilly salutes our first coast-to-coast railroad with a Virtual Meeting.
