Event Description

Speaker for the night: Jon Kern

Talking on the Genesis of Agile - the original intent, if you will, and where things can go off the rails.  This will likely be a lively interactive session.

Jon Kern is local to the area and is a Signer to the Agile Manifesto in 2002.  Both as a consultant and on-board as a manager, Jon has seen more situations than most of us can imagine.

Meeting Night:  Will be TUES Nov 15th

Agile Uprising - Original Manifesto Meeting Notes

Our own Ryan Lockard and others have recently uncovered original notes from the agile manifesto signing event from 2001.

They shared them on a site to help share the context of the event, the mindset of the authors, and the various inputs that went into the event.  They are also working through interviews with each of the co-authors which will start being posted this week.  If you are an agile nerd, and care about history, it is worth checking out:

It is a fascinating story that changed our lives.

"We are very lucky to offer to our community the original Agile Manifesto meeting notes of Jon Kern (@Jon). As part of our meeting with Jon for our manifesto review project, he offered to share these with us as long as we make them available to the community. This is the full and complete document that you must be a registered member to access. If you share a link to this, please ask the recipient to join the coalition and contribute to our amazing community. "
