Tom Stone and Howard Meyers are talking on "Learning and the ROI on training and coaching on Lean/Agile Practices within a Company"

Tom has finished his PhD and will be sharing viewpoints from his thesis.

His Co-Author Howard Meyers will also be speaking at this presentation.

Now, this may not to be perfectly polished presentation in it's final form.  This is more a trial for Tom and Howard who will be presenting their paper at a conference later this spring.  This presentation allows them to get feedback and make adjustments to their work - and we all get to help.

Thomas Stone is an Assistant Teaching Professor at Penn State Abington.  Tom joined the full time faculty at Penn State Abington in 2014 after 23 years at Siemens Healthcare IT in various capacities, most recently as Director of Strategy and Finance where he was responsible for benchmarking activities and competitive analysis.  Previous roles at Siemens included Compliance Officer, Financial Officer for International Operations, and Director of the Strategic Projects Office.

Tom has

  • BA in Political Science from La Salle University
  • MBA in Finance from New York University’s Stern School of Business
  • DBA from Temple University’s Fox School of Business
  • Tom’s doctoral dissertation examined the impact of training and coaching on lean/agile software development productivity at a major software development firm.

At Penn State, Tom teaches undergraduates in microeconomics, finance, strategy, and international business.

Note that Howard and Bob Marini are teaching a class on Lean Agile Fundamentals at Penn State Great Valley on Wednesday Feb 6th
