Well of course, we will make humourous ( sic ) jabs at the Brits, like how they cannot spell humor, but now that they joined our clan of Cheesesteak- worshippers, it is fine.
This year's event falls on the auspicious 240 th anniversary of the Bombardment at Ft. Mifflin, where during the siege, four hundred American soldiers held off more than two thousand British troops and 250 ships until November 10, 1777

Year 2016 was at Fringe Arts Theater near Columbus Ave and the Riverfront in South Philly . . . I still think we should have had a " Mummers and Hummers" Parade down Columbus Avenue" Imagine strutting to the sound of Saxophones and Banjos and Roaring Engines in the middle of the night. Then culminate it with the Battle of the Cheesesteaks at 9th & Wharton & Passyunk. That would show those Brits that South Philly never forgits.
