My Syllabus for Testing
In this brief presentation, we will look at my idea of what a tester should know. I'll show you a mind-map of my map of a good tester's mind app.
James Bach is the co-author of Lessons Learned in Software Testing, and the author of Secrets of a Buccaneer-Scholar. He's on his 30th year in the software business, and about to complete his 25th year as a tester.
Long ago he worked in Silicon Valley, but now he wanders the world teaching people the martial art of Rapid Software Testing. He's most famous for his work on exploratory testing, good enough quality, and for publicly opposing the CMM, ISTQB, and all the other stuffy nonsense that most people will admit they don't really use or believe in.
