Monday April 3rd we welcome back Daniel Gullo ( July 2015) who will cover
Scaling is Failing: It is Impossible to 'Scale' Innovation
This is a preview of a talk he will give in India at the end of the May.
Daniel will cover why we can't expect to have economies of scale for complex, unknown, innovative, ground-breaking work.
If we are churning out widgets and building simple things, then there can be some advantages of "scaling". Thus, it can make sense to use Agile practices such as Scrum for the more innovative work and lean manufacturing concepts for the work that can be operationalized (churning out widgets).
Also, what CAN be scaled?
This is planned especially for our members who really like to stay in the Suburbs during Philly Tech Week.
And for those who are considering SAFe or LESS or NEXUS or other variant of Scaling Agile.
Daniel Gullo has real world examples from his 8+ years coaching enterprise Agile Transformations. And many of us know Daniel as founder of AgileDelaware, our sister group that meets in Wilmington.
Daniel has over 25 years experience from startups to multi-nationals across a variety of industries. He is the conference chair of many Scrum Alliance events, clinics, etc. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Organizational Development.
His website is http://www.Apple-Brook.com
so check out the courses a world-renown Agile Coach and Trainer Daniel Gullo who will be delivering courses in his home town of Wilmington and nearby in the next weekhttp://www.apple-brook.com
Each course offers a $200 discount off the regular price for Agile Philly members who know the discount code that is printed in the Announcement Emails.
