Event Description

INFORMAL talking at the Philly ETE conference

This year,  our annual sitdown includes Johanna Rothman to meet with us. Her topic Agile in Hiring is appropriate.

Also Martin Snyder got a chance to meet with us. His topic Agile in Hostile Environments sounds tailor made for many of our day-to-day quandaries.

It is included in the Chariot Solutions Webcast.

Delivering Agile Methodologies and Emerging Technologies in Hostile Environments

Ken interviewed 5 speakers as part of this episode.  Martin's part begins at the 7:40 mark.

And we will be talking with Doc Norton about Velocity & Agile Metrics

Turns out we are up against a Happy Hour that starts at 7 for Conference Attendees, so we would like to start on time at 6.

You do not need to attend the conference to participate.

If you did attend, you heard:

Format of the night . .

Same as last year = generally start at 6:00 PM in a meeting room at Old City Sheraton where the Philly ETE Conference is held - look for signs to the room.

Late arrivals are welcome to come and jump in anytime.

I usually sneak in a plate of cookies and pretzels.

Generally about 10 to 12 people show up, just chairs-in-a-circle format. If it goes past 8:00 pm, we generally re-convene in the bar.

Our thanks to Chariot Solutions for offering the meeting space for this meeting. No food is available for this meeting, but we hope you will join us afterwards at the bar or restaurant.

To get to the location - I take the subway to 2nd and Market and walk south 3 blocks.

Sorry that Scott Amber is not in town during our meeting, but other speakers will be sharing their views at the Sit-down-Pow-wow.  Wow, did you see the number of Agile Topics for the 2-day Philly ETE Conference. . . . How does Chariot Solns do it ?

Comment by John Voris, Lead Coordinator on February 29, 2016 at 3:04pm

You do not have to register for the conference.

The conference host, Chariot Solutions, donates a meeting room for the night, so like it says above, we pull chairs into a circle and talk and talk and munch some cookies.

But I expect that the topic of the night is on "The Direction of Agile" - - - Tom Gradel's presentation on March 29 will introduce us to the surveys that Scott Ambler has up on his website.  We can see what conclusions we can draw from where we think the Agile Community is going, and where the surveys say that we actually are.

"Quite the contrary" so does this mean we have to register for the conference? You have a double negative thing going on here. Thanks Greg
