The James Webb Space Telescope at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Md.will delay its launching until October 31, 2021. One reason for the delay was the Corona Virus.
On Thursday, July 16, 2020, officials announced that the telescope is now scheduled to launch on Oct. 31, 2021.
The previous target date was March 2021.

-============================-
The Telescope is ON SCHEDULE for launch. It just had the LENS CAP REMOVED and is in its final "stowable position for Liftoff"
The Webb Telescope is mankind's most powerful telescope - that will be halfway to the moon when it is looking at the Big Bang. So it will be the furthest human machine outside of Mars rovers & Voyager-type Space Exploration instruments.
It must be folded like Origami into its launch vehicle to make the ride into far-earth orbit.
It has taken years to plan and develop.
The other telescope it is meant to replace is Hubble, which launched in 1990 and is now 31 years old.
