National Compost Day 2020

I knew there had to be one.

Everything has a day.

So of course, there is even a National Compost Day

So go over and "spread" the news with co-workers about the advantages of composting.

Did you know  . . .

that every spring the Chester County Municipal Waste Dept and LanChes Landfill offer classes to become a Master Composter?

It is three nights of classes to register yourself as a Master Composter of the county.  And surprisingly, I met a lot of good people that way.

"The Chester County Board of Commissioners, through the Chester County Solid Waste Authority, offers free Certified Master Composting Classes. Attendance is required all three weeks to become certified.

Classes are held three consecutive Wednesdays from 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. Trainees will learn how to compost, how to construct various compost bins, how to grasscycle, leafcycle and how to reduce food waste by vermi-composting.

The Chester County Solid Waste Authority will provide training, materials, volunteer opportunities and support.
