Event Description

Groundhog day is of course the weather prognosticator and seer of all seers special day.

Besides being celebrated in a teeny, tiny town in central Pennsylvania, it is celebrated fondly by me for being the birthday of my mother on 2/2/22

The ground zero of celebrations and news is Punxsutawney Pennsylvania PLUS Woodstock Illinois.

Woodstock was the filming location of the movie Groundhog Day, and filming locations are now included in tours of this northern Illinois town.

The characters for Groundhog Day are Punxsutawney Phil and Woodstock Willie. They are not to be confused with the mascot of Herrs Potato Chips, the chipmunk Chipper.
