Agenda:
How we apply Agile and Scrum in an Agency Environment at O3.
Howie Ross, the Development Director at www.o3world.com will be presenting on this fascinating area.
Abstract:
The fast-paced and highly collaborative environment of the digital agency is well suited to Agile and Scrum. But for clients who want fixed prices, flexible scopes and hard launch dates months down the road, Agile can be difficult to trust and implement. At O3, Agile is less about following a rigid process someone else laid out for another team, and more about adapting processes to work for our teams and our clients.
In this discussion, you’ll see how O3 applies Agile techniques and Scrum concepts to a process that incorporates client approvals and fluid teams. Get to know how we use Scrum ceremonies, such as Sprint Planning Meetings, Retrospectives, Demos and (of course) the ubiquitous Stand Up. Learn about the tools we use, which include Trello, Harvest and Forecast.
If you’re just getting started with Agile, you’ll come away feeling empowered to adapt Agile methodologies for your needs. If you’re a by-the-book Agile Scrum practitioner, you may leave thinking that what we’re doing is blasphemous. But regardless of your experience level with Agile and Scrum, the hope is that you’ll walk away with new ideas about how to improve your organization’s processes.

Parking:

Comment
Sure, sorry for the confusion. Here is the schedule:
6 - 6:30: Meet & Greet, Pizza, Socializing, Networking

Greg
Can you please clarify the schedule? Is 6PM the actual start time for the speaker or is that the eat and greet time? (Getting there by 6 will be a challenge.) Thanks.
Hi all - please spread the word about this event and try to keep your RSVP status current. Thanks!

As dedicated as I am to the agile community :-), I will be on vacation during the week that this topic will be presented. Otherwise, I would have definitely come. I'll catch up with everyone in September I guess.
