**********

Please join Agile Philly in Downtown Center City for a talk by Jack Caine, an Enterprise Agile Transformation Coach and Program Consultant, writer, and President of Carmel Rush Inc.

Speaker Jack Caine will speak on transformation and advanced  topics for the discerning leader in an Agile environment.   We will explore and explain why 70% of transformations at the enterprise level  fail the first time and what are some tools to change that trend.

Jack Caine of Florida is in Philly coaching a local company.  He just published a blog article at the Linked-In Pulse eZine.  It questions why "Commitment" is not in the Scrum Guide.  Should we look to the unobtainable confluence of Commitment, Complexity and Optimization for more insight?

https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/commitment-why-word-scrum-guide-jack-caine

has  a link to the full article.

The Subjects of the talk will include:

  1. Systems Thinking (taken from Peter Senge's "The Fifth Discipline of a Learning Organization" to help explain why a new way of thinking is needed)
  2. The 4 Windows ("I", "It", "It's", and "We" - taken from Lyssa Adkins' teachings to help explain how to see the "full" picture)
  3. Leadership By Intent (use of the video by David Marquet to help explain servant leadership)
  4. Agile Product Owner In A Nutshell (use of the video by Henrik Kniberg to explain scrum)
  5. Cynefin Framework (taken from David Snowden as a tool to help leaders decide if waterfall, kanban, scrum, or lean startup frameworks and methodologies should be used for a particular situation based on the context and constraints)
  6. Quadrants of Coaching (taken from Lyssa Adkins to explain what the role of an agile coach is during a transformation)
