Distributed Agile

Topic

Applying Agile Practices to Distributed Projects

John will present a case study describing the creation of a distributed Agile development team for a client in the healthcare industry. The case study will be presented in the traditional retrospective format (What went well, What didn't, What would we change) and will focus on the following topics:

  • Facilitating the transfer of knowledge and project ownership to a remote team

  • Aligning non-development groups (Product development, Operations, QA) to work with a remote team using Agile techniques

  • Servicing multiple customers remotely: balancing functional, architectural and operational concerns
