DESCRIPTION:Guy Fawkes\r\nNovember 5 1605\r\n\r\nGuy Fawkes, a member 
 of the Gunpowder Plot, was arrested while guarding and preparing to al
 ight the explosives the plotters had placed beneath the House of Lords
 . \r\nThis was timed for the opening of a new session of Parliament.\
 r\nKing James I survives.\r\n\r\nOn 31 January 1606, Fawkes and three 
 other conspirators were  hanged and quartered.\r\n\r\nHis effigy is t
 raditionally burned on a bonfire, commonly accompanied by fireworks.\r
