Oh, and new robot videos that I had not seen yet.

"Robots fall down and now can get up."

They are performing some complicated tasks . . .

Then understanding vertical splits is important since you will want to . . .

NOT Mix dependencies . & . Keep Separation of Concerns for faster tests . & . Have to all development not have to be sequential . . .

P.S. At Philly Tech Week last April, we saw some amazing gaming stuff (music input channels controlling the game sprites) and in the Robot scene, the Univ of Penn and Drexel Robot Teams have been doing some amazing stuff. I am looking forward to them…

P.S. At Philly Tech Week last April, we saw some amazing gaming stuff (music input channels controlling the game sprites) and in the Robot scene, the Univ of Penn and Drexel Robot Teams have been doing some amazing stuff. I am looking forward to them showing us even more this coming April, at Philly Tech Week . . .

from Philly Tech Week April 2012, some Robots playing Beatles:

"The Drexel Robot that threw out the first pitch on Saturday for Tech in the Ball Park Daynow has a garage band. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UMQLX-aw_dc

What do you expect. . . Here is his dad crooning Yesterday by the Beatles Bhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nrw5GfkIbAE

(What is impressive is that Hubos are general purpose robots that react to music and timing from each other. And that the drummer is able to stay on his stool. It was a 10 day sprint last month by grad students at Drexel to create the whole thing, including making the instruments.)"

If you make a video of what your guys create, however it turns out, I am pretty sure that I can have it included in one of the Philly Tech Week venues.

(Also be sure to bookmark and follow http://www.techgirlz.org/ who are doing great workshops (just software for now) for middle-school-age girls. )

- John V.

Thanks for the response.

Oddly, no, Steve and I have no family connection that we know of. We are, however, both part of a family of volunteers that promote robotics to school-aged children. I plan on using Agile practices to help my middle school team build a competitive fire-fighting robot this year (Joe Justice style).

I would assume, Yes. Bringing in fresh blood is a goal of vendor Demos. And the feedback you ask for - or comparisons to other software packages, like open source Jira and non-open-source products, is how enhancements get prioritized and rolled out in newer versions by the Vendor.

You can ask Andre on Tuesday night for what will be covered . . . or email one of the other contacts on the signup page at RallyDev website.

Also, AgilePhilly has not had software demos in a couple of years, so look for more software demos this year. (We have to stay current with the industry.)

Also, Jeff, I see that one of the presenters is Steve Rhoads of Comcast . . . Any connection ?
